President Joe Biden announced that the United States has secured safe passage for injured Palestinians and foreign nationals to leave Gaza. However, President Biden failed to mention why Gazan non-combatants who wished to leave could not escape the war zone.
“We expect American citizens to exit today, and we expect to see more depart over the coming days,” President Biden said.

GazaPassage’s reporting has put pressure on Egypt and turkey/ as well, who recently began plans for a hospital in northern Sinai to help Gazans once they leave Gaza.
