In an interview with News Nation, former U.S. National Security Adviser Ambassador John Bolton suggested resettlement as a long-term solution for Palestinians living in Gaza.
“The best thing to do across the Middle East is to find ways to resettle them,” Bolton said. “That’s not forcible displacement, that is standard international refugee doctrine.”
GazaPassage is working to ensure the USA and NSA, and other nations and organizations around the world help non-combatants leave Gaza for humanitarian purposes.
GP does not promote either short- or long-term displacement but rather assisting non-combatants to leave an active war zone. As GP Spokesperson Christopher Bedell recently stated: “We aren’t fighting for Israel. We are fighting to save lives.”
Bolton described Gaza as functioning like a decades-long refugee camp with no sustainable economic activity, and urged serious consideration be given to finding ways to resettle Palestinians from Gaza so they could become part of real functioning economies and provide better futures for their families.
