While visiting Arish, the capital and largest city of North Sinai, Egypt Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly dismissed an alleged plan by Israel to relocate non-combatants from Gaza to North Sinai.
“We are prepared to sacrifice millions of lives to ensure that no one encroaches upon our territory,” Madbouly said.
GazaPassage is working to ensure Egypt and other nations around the world help non-combatants leave Gaza for humanitarian purposes.
Egypt has claimed it refuses to accept any refugees for several reasons, including security, and political reasons. Just today, GP reported that Egypt is in fact allowing some non-combatants in from Gaza, undermining Madbouly’s claim.
